What can you use the app for?

Gimme Bar is a bookmarking tool that simplifies the way users save websites. The application provides users with a “Gimme Bar” that the user can access while browsing the web. When the user sees something interesting they want to save, the item can be dragged to the bar and dropped to create the bookmark. The application works with any image, any text and most internet videos. A screenshot option is also included so users can capture an image of an entire web page using a single button on the Gimme Bar. Users can add descriptions and tags to items they save. Items can also be placed within a collection. The user can retrieve screenshots and bookmarks by accessing their Gimme Bar library.

Gimme Bar was designed to improve the way users save content on the web. The application allows users to build a collection of videos, images and text. Gimme Bar has a number of appealing benefits, but hasn’t seen significant popularity as of yet. The service is still in beta, so it is possible that its popularity and reputation may grow as more internet users discover it.

There are a number of features that make Gimme Bar different from other bookmarking tools. The application lets users take instant screen captures and saves them to a personal collection. How does the web app look and feel to use?

The Gimme Bar serves a simple purpose and offers an equally simple interface. The bar appears at the bottom of the user’s browser as a dark bar. There are a few wide buttons available that let users take screenshots, apply descriptions and drag and drop items they find while browsing. The experience is pleasant and the interface stays user friendly so anyone can quickly master Gimme Bar with minimal effort.

How does the registration process work?

A new user can try Gimme Bar by clicking the pink “Sign Me Up!” button near the top, center of the homepage. The next page invites users to sign up with a Twitter account. Others can click the green “Click Here” link below the Twitter button to sign up with email. The form that appears asks the user for an email address username and password. The user must install the Gimme Bar to begin using the application.

What does it cost to use the application?

Gimme Bar is available to all internet users at no cost. There are no fees for installing the Gimme Bar and the user can bookmark as many things as they like. This is really right where the application should be in terms of price because it doesn’t offer anything more than a unique way to bookmark and save web content.
